TOURNAMENT OF ROSES VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
PUSD provides breakfast and lunch to many students during the regular school day. As students are learning from home during this time, these meals are still being provided for parents to pick up at PUSD distribution sites. Several families are unable to get to these sites to pick up, and this is where YOU come in!
We have an opportunity to assist in this effort by helping to deliver these meals, which families depend on, to their homes. Volunteers will pick up meals (prepared and pre-packaged by PUSD food service workers) at John Muir High School each morning Monday-Friday at 7:30 a.m. and deliver to 8-12 families in Pasadena.
Approximately 10 volunteers will be needed each day. You will be provided with a list of addresses, mapped out for maximum efficiency. Vanessa Schulz (VC, TV/Radio Committee) and I have done a few of these delivery runs and have found that it takes around 60-90 minutes from arrival at Muir to the last delivery.
This is a totally contact-less effort - bagged meals will be placed in your car, and you will leave them on doorsteps. Please wear a face mask when you are picking up and delivering.
We hope you will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to help support our community and show your Tournament of Roses volunteer spirit!
